My boyfriend told me a couple days ago that everytime someone asks him what his girlfriend does for a living, and he replies “She’s an online tarot reader.”, the response is always “Ohhhhhhhhhhh hmmm.”  I guess its because no one ever expects to hear that after making a lame attempt to be polite. I personally get a kick out of it. Its what happens whenever I’m asked the same question.

In front of others, I have yet to be asked how to become one. A few have asked how I personally got into it, but never how they can. However, I do get ‘secret’ messages asking me how to become an online tarot reader and make money doing it; emails, social media and the like.  So I thought I would post a few how to’s along with what you can expect if you take that path. (ooo sounds mystical doesn’t it?)

The most important thing is to realize that your friends and family could very much resent the time you spend working for yourself online and not spending with them. Being self-employed means having to be all things to yourself; disciplined, persistant, skilled, more time spent with your online clients than with anyone else, the willingness to forego most of your free time, and an exercise plan to keep you from developing what I call ‘computer ass’.  (I see those cheetoes crumbs on your keyboard.) A large dose of creativity, and the ability to learn new skills you can’t afford to pay others to do for you. That’s just a nutshell of advice,  you’ll catch on as we go along.

If you already have a marketable metaphysical skill, awesome. This will be easy for you. If you don’t, you can’t fake it and expect to get return clients. No Fortune Teller Dressup please. Save that for Halloween on whatever venue you work with if it containts video. Yep, video.

Types of Online Venues:

Your own website.

Google the words “psychic jobs” or “tarot reader jobs” and be amazed. Ask me about any of them via email. I’m not on the mood to go into detail right here.

You can work over the phone, a website, a video chat, text chat, or all of them.

Your pay will very depending on the website you work with. Working as the ‘lone ranger’ will mean you have to provide your own traffic, advertising, and webspace which is costly so do what works for you. Working as a freelancer for other online companies takes care of all of that FOR you. You will be paid every week, every two weeks, or once a month depending on the site you work with. You can be paid anywhere from 20 cents per minute to setting your own prices, again, depending.

If you find one you have questions about, send a Resmerandum, I’m happy to help!
